Introduction to Surveys/Focus Groups/Product Testing
I have been asked many times,
1. How do you get all that free stuff?
2. Are surveys legit?
3. You got paid what for a focus group?!!!!! How can I join?
4. Is mystery shopping really legit?
5. How do you get cash back on online shopping?
6. Where did you get all of those coupons!!!!?
7. Do you really get free products to test?
I have finally created a website to help those who want to save money, make money, receive samples & test products.
Please note: This is about 5 years in the making. I have done hours and months of research on what is legit and what is not. YOU SHOULD NEVER HAVE TO PAY TO SIGNUP FOR ANYTHING!!!! That is the key.
Anything highlighted in RED are my absolute favorite and I do things w/ them all of the time. The others are ok and you can make your judgement.
Please contact me with any questions you may have. Post comments below post or e-mail me at alaskajamaica@gmail.com

Surveys-Test products-Focus Groups
Surveysavvy.com
These surveys are usually Tech or Medical related, but I have gotten some that are normal surveys. I have tried to do a few Tech surveys, but was not able to answer the questions accurately. They usually pay $3-20 bucks a survey. The surveys are pretty painless. They actually put the money into your survey savvy account immediately. It takes about two weeks to get the check.
Make sure you complete each profile in order to get survey invitations.
I actually make most of my money from referrals and you can also. I have made almost $200 in just referrals because each time someone takes a survey under you, you earn $$ and so do they. Painless huh?

Another great one that uses points that you redeem. I have also tested products with this company. WIth this one, 1000 points=$10. The way it usually works is they'll give you a screener survey for 20-30 points and if you qualify, they'll ask you to continue on to a larger survey. These usually start from 300+ points. . Just an FYI - you'll get two surveys to start off - less than 5 minutes apiece. Only then will your account be activated. Be careful not to delete it as spam. Let me know if you want a referral.
Data Intellegience online- Amazon gift cards are awarded once you reach 1,000 points+. I really enjoy these surveys and I have also done local focus groups with them.

Opinion outpostNot my favorite, but I have cashed out with them a few times- it just takes forever. You get points for each survey ($2-$4 for each survey) and they don't last more than 10-15 minutes. 50 points=$5 and $5 is the cash out point. Points are usually credited to your account immediately after survey completion. When you refer people, you get 10 points after someone signs up and takes their first survey. Again, make sure you check your spam folder for surveys. You'll get a preliminary survey once you sign up (5 points).
HCD Consumer Research PanelMy experience with this company has been great. They also pay by check and usually have surveys related to recent public events (Michael Jackson, Superbowl, politics). They're quick and pay $3-$5 per survey. You need 1,000 points to cash out. If you take multiple surveys within a one-month period, they'll just add your pay together and send one check. Great company!

5 is payout - they'll send you a check within 1-2 weeks. In each e-mail invite, it'll specify how much you get paid. It's usually $3-$5, sometimes more. It’s hard to get to the $5, but I have done it several times.

Socratic Forum
This site sends a couple of surveys a month. They usually pay anywhere from $2-$5 each. Payout is after $5 via check, charity, or Amazon gift certificates. http://www.socraticforum.com/
LightspeedWhile the payout for each survey isn't that much (between 75 cents to $3), there are plenty of survey opportunites. Cashout can be done pretty frequently for cash (Paypal), Amazon gift certificates, and other prizes. http://www.lightspeedpanel.com/
Focus Forward
I have done surveys and focus groups online. They don’t send out surveys often. They mail checks upon request. If you need a referral, let me know.
BuzzbackThey e-mail you. They pay no less than $5 a survey - they're infrequent, but I just received a check - 5 bucks is 5 bucks! Yippee! http://www.buzzback.com/
ACOPOne of my favorite to work with and they have products to test. http://www.acop.com/
TESTSPIN
I've gotten paid between $2 and $8 for each survey. They pay you via Amazon Gift Certificates that they e-mail you. Payout is after $10. It seems like people either have really good luck or not so good luck with this site.
Brand InstituteThis is aimed more for people in the medical field, but I got a couple of surveys for a few dollars each. I have not had as much luck with them, but they do pay. They do require you to provide your SSN# in order to get paid.
Esearch
They are also infrequent, but when they do send out surveys, it's usually for test products and they pay between $3- $50. Payments are via PayPal. There are smaller surveys that they'll send out once in a while ($3-$5). I love this company. Quick, easy and interesting surveys. www.esearch.com
Harvard Business School
With this one, you actually have to check the site for studies(you can also get alerts from slickdeals.net). They don't send you an e-mail to let you know it's available. Usually a 5-15 minute survey yields $5, payable with Amazon gift certificates. I love them as well, however, they need your SS# in order to get paid. Payment is quick! www.hbs.edu./cler
E-Rewards
You accumulate dollars based on e-mails you read and quick surveys they send you. I don't get more than a couple of things a week. I redeemed my dollars for a magazine subscription once. You can also sign up through U-promise and get your college account funded for your kids which I found out later on. The only way to get into e-rewards is to go to the site and sign up under one of the sponsors saying you're interested. They'll send you an e-mail about a week later telling you how to join. http://www.erewards.com/
Bzzagent
TEST PRODUCTS!!!
I love this company. The list is endless with the products I test. I test products for them almost every 2 months. You control how often you can test the products. They always send coupons with the products as well. Let me know if you need a referral.
Your 2 Cents/Toluna
This site has a payout of 30,000 points. Payment is via check or paypal. They pay between $1-$5 a survey. If you don't qualify for the survey, they'll at least enter you into a drawing or pay you a small amount (10 or 20 cents - woohoo!).Let me know if you need a referral.
OTX Research
With this site, it's easy to get points but it takes forever. Each survey typically gives you 1000 points (15-20 min. long). You can cash out at 8000 points for E-gift certificates
E-Poll
I love it because the points are huge and easy to obtain and they are usually about current events. Fun and easy points and you can cash them out for cash or online rewards. I love this company. Let me know if you need a referral
Viewpoint Forum -(product testing)
With this site, you cash out at 375 points, which is equivalent to $10. They pay via check. Point values for surveys are usually at least 75 points. Invite is by invitation only. It’s hard to get in for some reason.
Pinecone Research
This company is very picky about who they accept. This is one of the top survey companies around. They pay via paypal or other options which you pick. You have to find banners in order to enroll or you have to enroll through someone who is a member. They send members referral links every so often.
Stanford Graduate School of Business
For this site, you need to check for new surveys...they don't send e-mails to you. Some pay with an Amazon gift certificate, or you can get an entry into a sweepstakes for a gift certificate.
Baker St. Solutions (do product testing)
Typically do product testing. You fill out a quick questionaire to qualify. If you do, you'll get the product. They don't let you know if you qualify for the study like other companies, But they pay better. http://www.bakerstsolutions.com/panelist.html
20/20 Research-focus groups etc.
They do local focus groups and online. Both pay very well. I've been paid between $75 and $200. I LOVE this company. I have been paid to do diaries, local focus groups and online chat rooms.
Synovate/Global Opinion Panel
These surveys are for points, to be redeemed for prizes. If they're very short (it'll say the survey length in the e-mail), I'll definitely complete it because it usually leads to a product test. Who doesn't love free products? :)
LiveWire Research
This company has short and sweet surveys on a range of topics. Payment is by check and will come within 4-6 weeks. They do ask for a social security number for payment. I did a lot of research on the company verifying people's positive experiences with them. I was still a little leary, but it ended up being legit. I'm sure some of you will still be uncomfortable joining, but I just wanted to put the company out there letting you know they pay.
